Thinking about growing a beard?

Most men at some point in their life once having the ability to, have thought about or have tried to grow some sort of facial hair, it’s a natural process for any man as they transition into adulthood, but did you know that there are ways to help through the growing stage? Without proper care, this journey usually ends in itchy skin, and dead skin flakes, which are similar to dandruff and result in shaving without giving the proper opportunity to see how much hair you can actually grow and if you actually like the look. My Experience I first started growing serious facial hair in 2017, not long before I created a business that sold a vast range of handmade products, which evolved from multiple scented beard products to moustache wax. that later expanded into shaving, natural deodorant, perfume, and colognes. Since then, I have supported beard competitions throughout New Zealand, the low and slow BBQ community, barbershops, and many local Kiwi bearded men. Preparing for Be…

9 Tips for Your Business Presentation

Structure your presentation. The easiest way to do this is to tell the group what you’re going to tell them, tell them, then close by telling the group what you’ve told them. Pick out 1 or 2 key themes for your presentation. In NLP we work on the basis of seven plus or minus two, which equates to between five and nine key points. In a 10-minute presentation you can pick 5-9 tips to share or focus on 1 or 2 key points in-depth. PLAN! Plan your presentation in advance and rehearse so you stick to time. Remember to take a deep breath and ground yourself before you start. If you’re using a slideshow, remember to use pictures or video. People love pictures and movies. If you’re going to use words in your presentation, follow the 7 +/- 2 rule and only have a few key points on your slide. Cutting and pasting a bunch of highly important details is a good strategy, and remember to consider how easy it will be to read by someone at the back of the room. If you’re using ke…

Business Networking: Why you should be an advocate for your clients

When you’re running your own business and are relying on daily profits, it can be tempting to use every opportunity to talk about the products and services you offer and to rush potential clients into sales. However, nobody likes pushy salespeople, and the benefits of this approach are usually short-lived. Successful business people have excellent networking skills and take their time with each potential customer to truly get to know them. Instead of diving in for the close, they shift their priorities towards the client’s actual needs. They become an advocate for their clients rather than just the guy who talked them into buying a car that is way too big or a vacuum cleaner that blew their budget. Get Website help! Adding value If you want to supercharge your sales, ensure long-term profits and repeated business, try to add value to your customer relationships. Instead of rambling on about the benefits of your products that may be awesome, but not what people need, en…

Why we read fake news stories

Spreading falsities is nothing new. The use of propaganda to sway political favour goes back to Roman times. But today, with our short attention spans and cluttered newsfeeds, the distinction between real and fake news is even more unclear. The more time poor we become, the faster we try to consume our news, inevitably absorbing everything. But how often do we stop to think whether or not a story is true? Research published in the Nature Human Behaviour journal from the combined studies of Indiana University, Shanghai Institute of Technology, and Yahoo Research, led by Dr Diego Fregolente Mendes de Oliveira claims that "information overload" and our "limited attention" spans are to blame for the rapid spread of fake news. "Anecdotal evidence of hoaxes, conspiracy theories and fake news in online social media is so abundant that massive digital misinformation has been ranked among the top global risks for our society, with fake news a major topic of debate in the Unite…
